Activities of Bhagavata Mela Vidyalaya


June 5th
Inspired by the contribution of Bhagavata Mela Vidyalaya to the student community in empowering the lifestyle through arts, Melbourne Tamil Sangam with Avvai arakattalai, Thiruvaiyaru invited the school for the Pan Indian Tamil conference on lifestyle and values propagated through the works of Saint Thiruvalluvar and Avvaiyar. The performances of both Vidyalaya and Laasya Mela Laya was appreciated tremendously and the participants were awarded with the title Natya Kalai Chudar. Priyamvadha Murali was awarded with the title Natya Kalai Semmal. The presentation witnessed a full house gathering and rousing applause!
June 15th
Disciples of Bhagavata Mela Vidyalaya and Laasya Mela Laya under guidance from Smt Priyamvadha Murali were invited to participate in the annual Brahmotsavam of Garbharakshambigai Temple. The auspicious event resumed after a three year covid break. The disciples were honoured with a Souvenir stamp issued by India post authorized by postal departments of Melattur, Thirukarukavur and Papanasam..in recognition of the community contributions of Bhagavata Mela Vidyalaya to the surrounding neighbourhood!

Smt Priyamvadha Murali, was featured as part of the prestigious Mangaiyar Solai series of Chennai Doordarshan. She was part of the many women achievers recording their path breaking achievements for the society. Her presentation was one of the best as conveyed by the panellists of the DD Podhigai team!
September
Inspired and motivated by the services of Vidyalaya directly benefitting the student community, the avvai Arakattalai, Thiruvaiyaru expressed the dance training be given to students from Thiruvaiyaru and Thirumanoor. Students enrolled in AVVAI primary school and Brilliant school became beneficiaries of life’s lessons from ATHI CHUDI through dance.
Vidyalaya makes a historic move under invitation from the management of Dr V Gengusamy matriculation school, Melattur. Over 75 kids from adjoining villages are now learning this art for free and prospective budding cultural treasures in discovery.

Bhagavata Mela Vidyalaya releases its first e -newsletter.
Featuring and supporting Manipuri Nritya was part of the many projects realized by Vidyalaya.
Natya Abyasam rendered by Guru Dr Padmaja Venkatesan was a milestone achievement for Vidyalaya.
Vidyalaya received overwhelming appreciation from rasikas worldwide to feature the dying art of Silambattam from Thanjavur.
October - November
Vidyalaya and Laasya Mela Laya once again paid homage to it’s founder Guru Sri Natarajan through one aradhana which fetched wonderful reviews, worlwide viewership and Acclaimed reviews.
Vijayadasami 2022 was conducted at the Bhagavata Mela foundation premises in Melattur. Over 200 children belonging to Vidyalaya participated. Free dance practise costumes were distributed for the disciples along with free food on this auspicious occasion. The grand event was a historic move as it witnessed a large student parent coming together for arts sake! The supporting staffs of Vidyalaya were acknowledged too.

Vidyalaya featured never before seen upcoming artists and legends in tribute to Smt Anuradha Natarajan and Sri S Natarajan, the visionary couple.
Dr VVR, the colossal personality from cultural scene in Thanjavur and a senior Surgeon of India acknowledged the efforts and achievements of Vidyalaya till date!
