Vidyalaya imparts training the ancient art of Bharathanatyam, in accordance with Natya Shashtra, especially in rural India. The world-renowned artist and Natya guru, Shri. Natarajan decided to set up the Vidyalaya in Melattur village, though he had the opportunity to set it up anywhere else. The Vidhalaya sprung from his vision and gratitude to sow back the seeds of Bhagavata Mela and Natya tradition into the very soil from where it sprouted several decades back and to enrich the lives of rural teens and youth with our ancient arts and culture.
